I would try the above, but keep in mind that the problem may be with 
the disk format and not with the file format.   If the above does not 
work, you may need soemthing like DOS Mounter (or whatever the latest 
equivalent is) from http://www.softarch.com .

I had similar problems mounting a WinNT formatted magneto-optical 
disk until I installed DOS Mounter.  Of course the version I had was 
old, so I had to boot into 7.6.1, install DOS Mounter, read the 
disk's contents to my hard drive, and then I could use the files in 
my normal 9.1 environment.  I was fortunate in that DOS Mounter was 
included as a freebie with my MO drive.
