Correct. Jeff Walther wrote a terrific piece and posted it to the list here about the 4k/2k issue very recently. You may want to check the archives for threads on memory. IIRC, the problem lies with the memory controller used on Alchemy mobos--Performa 6400s & clones. EDO vs. FPM is that EDO is a subset of the FPM standard and so EDO would in theory work with FPM but the 10% or so speed advantage EDO has would be lost.
