I haven't tried SpamCop, so I don't know how it works. The nice thing about IO's SPAM filter is that it is filtered at the server, so I never spend any download time on the SPAM that their filter catches. It's gone before my mailbox ever sees it. The downside to that is that if you're trying to email me from an address that's in the filter, I'll never see your email. If I check my SPAM log I might notice that you tried to email me. This may be the same thing that SPAM Cop does. I don't know. There's a program called SPAM Assassin to which IO is updating. It has more features and flexibility.
