I just jumped on the XLR8 CarrierZIF w/ OWC G3/300mhz combo on Monday. I'm thrilled with the difference in speed from my old Powerlogix 210 (was clocked @ 315) You'd think the PowerLogix was faster, but it limited my bus to 45MHz, I can get 56MHz with the XLR8. The other added bonus was that it was supposed to be a G3/300MHz/512KB and I got one with a 1MB cache that is stable at 200MHz 3:2 ratio instead of a 150MHz 2:1!! They let me keep it too!
I have never hesitated to purchase from OWC, they are my favorite dealer, period. -Robyn On Thursday, September 19, 2002, at 09:12 PM, Will Schoumaker wrote: > Well I'm not using a G4 but thought I'd write anyway. > I started with an XLR8 Carrier Zif with G3 300mhz card bought as a > package for a good price.
