Robyn,
I seem to have the thing working. The Mach Speed Control panel
show the cache to be running at 150 mhz and going clikey clikey clik clik
anrunning up and down the tubes. I had been trying to run the Cache Control
X 1.2 which (I guess) is a different app from the Mach Speed Control.I tried
re-setting the cache to 200 mhz and it made the little deally in the
diagrams speed up and go clikeyclikey clikey faster and showed to be running
at 200 mhz. But either it or Apple System Profiler is lying because the
profiler says Level 2 cache not installed. HMMMM. The Mach Speed Control
panel was stashed in the Applications->Utilities folder. The Cache
Control X 1.2 is sticking right out on the root level of the HD. Guess
I'll try another, third party gauge.
