I'm not sure if I understand your question.
Does your S900 still have a 604 processor ?

Anyway, you can easily upgrade your S900 with a G3 or G4 daughtercard
upgrade that will will replace the 604 card you yank out.
(Most upgrade cards listings will mention the word PCI.)

Unless you want to tinker with something old, forget about the second
processor slot, which is designed to accept a proprietory 604 processor
card.
Most would say you are much better off with a G3/G4 upgrade, especially with
current prices.
