Hi everybody,

As of yesterday, I am the proud new owner of what I think is a SuperMac
S900, but I'm not totally sure, It doesn't say that anywhere on it. Just
"UMAX" in the lower left corner, and "SuperMac" in the middle above the
speaker. The back of the computer says "Model H6D0" (not sure if that's a 0
or an O on the end there) How do I tell what SuperMac this is?

Also, when it's turned off, but plugged in, the power supply makes a rather
annoying very high pitched buzzing/whining sound. But I don't want to
unplug it 'cause then I have to deal with "Your clock is not set to the
right time..." Any way to make that power supply stop whining?

And finally, It connects just fine to the internet (using a router) through
the AAUI and slow RJ-45 jack, but the lower RJ-45 jack, on the SCSI card,
what I have come to believe is the faster one, does nothing. Do I need to
install some drivers or something to get fast Ethernet?

The SCSI half of the card is working okay, the two internal 2 GB hard drives
are connected to it. It's not as fast as I'd expect though, copying files
from one hard drive to the other, maybe there's a special driver for the
SCSI too? Or maybe they are just slow drives...

Thanks in advance for any tips,

John
