Hi Bolton, That software is too old to work reliably with anything after OS 8.1, and wasn't so hot with System 7, either. It may, in fact, be the most significant reason for the enduring popularity of FWB's Hard Disk Toolkit. IMHO, if updating the driver with the latest version of Apple's Drive Setup doesn't work, I would think twice about relying on the drive. For an industrial strength disk utility, HDT is still the champ. From my experience, the only other contender is Intech's Hard Disk Speed Tools, and the fact that it can be used on a trial basis would be very attractive where only one or two drives need special attention.
