FYI You have these switched around. Static is a permanent IP address 
assigned by your ISP. Dynamic IP addresses changes either when you 
first connect or at a set interval. Cable, DSL, and Dialup usually will 
have a Dynamic IP address unless you pay extra (there are some 
exceptions). Other kinds of connections like Frame Relay, T-1 and 
business oriented DSL will have Static IPs (as a rule). The only way to 
know for sure is to ask your ISP. Note; just because your IP address 
doesn't change, doesn't necessarily mean that you have a static IP.
