IIRC, the 604e's just before the Mach V came out used 15 - 20 watts. Again, IIRC, the G3 uses about 5 watts. I believe that the XPC604e/233 chips Umax used on at least some of their 604e/233 cards were also built on a later process such as was used for the Mach V, as the 233 MHz XPC parts seem to burn a lot less power than the 200 MHz and 225 MHz 604es.
