OK, you have my complete and undivided attention. Let's start at the top. You say you disconnected all SCSI devices and pulled the USB card. Do you actually mean *all* SCSI devices as in the internal CD-ROM drive & IBM HD? Was the only mass storage device during the install an IDE HD? At what point did you re-connect the SCSI chain & re-insert the USB card? For the other S/J OS X users, are older ATI (8 MB XClaim 3D Rage Pro) cards considered kryptonite with an OS X install? Considering OWC is selling OS X disks for a fairly reasonable cost, I'd buy a license if I truly thought I could use XPF without significant gymnastics. But if I have to do all sorts of sleight of hand stuff on my already hideous C series box, I'll just hold off to get new hardware that can run it natively. So, the discussion begins anew on X for C.
