Did the IIci have the power-on problem? There's a common problem
where the caps leak corrosive goo on teh MB and eat through the
solder and traces. This most commonly affects the power on
circuitry as that's where most of the susceptible caps reside on the
board. It's not too difficult to fix depending on what gets eaten.

The Q605/LC/P/475/476 are wonderful machines. Why would you call
them horrible? However, they do have some rather strict limitations
and are not for the type of person who loves an expandable
machine--the type of person who would keep an S900 forever, e.g.. I
will mention that the 36 MB RAM limit is bogus. I've had my Q605 up
to 132 MB of RAM, though I wasn't able to close the case in that
configuration. Now, what would be really nice would be a way to
get the VRAM above 1 MB.
