But Ford, since you're good about trimming text, bottom posting should not result in a net increase in scrolling. The original message is at the top of your window. You select the irrelevant bits and delete them. After each deletion your cursor is in position for that portion of your posting. When you reach the bottom you drag the side scroll tab to the bottom, hit the shift key, click at the bottom and hit delete. Voila, done. If you top posted in the same message, you'd still have to get to the bottom through scrolling, tab dragging, or psychic powers in order to delete the list footers.
