What other PCI cards do you have in the machine? Have you tried
pulling all the PCI cards except the video card, unplug all SCSI
cables from the motherboard and remove all RAM. There's 16 MB RAM
soldered to the motherboard, so removing all RAM will still let you
test the machine. True, with all SCSI cables disconnected and PCI
cards pulled, you won't have an OS, but at this point getting to the
gray screen with the flashing question mark will be a victory.

Dear Jeff: No PCI cards except for the video, yes pulled all ram,
disconnected drive (1 gig) formatted with speed tools, changed to apple
brand CD Rom and can hear accessing CD when started holding "C" key, 200
mhz processor, only other card installed is apollo (tried boot less this
card also) changed scsi cable, swapped power supply.

I moved known good video card twin turbo from running S900 - No change
?? Have tried in all PCI slots - no video with known good card ? If this
is the " Black Screen of Death " I wish this on no one, it defies most
logic attempts to debug.

Second day banging head against wall - Getting my Umax schooling the
hard way !

Again any help much welcome,

Frank
