I just acquired a Supermac C600 603e/240 from of all places the trash at a
thrift store I do volunteer work at fixing up computers for them to sell.
This is the first mac type system I have ever owned. It seems functional
except I cannot figure out how to get it to read from the cd drive. If the
cd drive's drivers are missing how do i find them and get them on it? Where
can I get a restore CD for this system. They do not seem to be manufactured
anymore. What do you folks use your Supermacs for? I am a newbie when it
comes to Macs much less Supermacs and have spent my life working on
everything from the old TRS-80 units to the windows machines from today but
the last Apple I had any extensive experience with was a Apple II E and that
was when I was a child playing games on one that they had at school. This
system does not have a modem and its Ethernet card or comm card seems to
have been removed. Otherwise it seems ok. I begged and got a keyboard and
mouse from a former professor of mine who is into macs so I could play with
this system and learn about it.
