Dave, Phil again, I have a DVD-ROM in a Firewire enclosure probably not
much
different than the Sony you have and I like the portability and I can
keep a CDR
and original CD in the S900 I own. The firewire connection seems to be
a good match
for viewing DVD's at least thats what has worked for me. I have been
dabbling with DVD
for sometime. As far as a decoder card.... I own a Wired4DVD which I
don't use much
anymore I was watching DVD content in 9.1, now I view DVD's in Jaguar
and it is
significantly better without the card. Which I can't use in OSX
anyway...No Drivers.
I'm using Apple DVD Player 3.2 (Hacked) and again its quite good. If
your not using
OSX, then go to <www.os9forever.com> for the 2.7 player.
