Hi everybody,

I have question regarding OSX and a Supermac S900 Setup as follows:

S900 with 904e 200MHz
512 MB RAM
Fromac ProFormance II Light with 8 MB WRAM (could be changed to Matrox
Millenium)
Adaptec 2940UW flashed to work with MacOS (works fine with 9.1)
Toshiba CD ROM XM-5701B (came as standard with the S900)
Plextor 820Ti CD Writer (works with modified Apple CD Driver)
IBM DGVSO9U 9GB UW Harddisk
Generic USB Card from PC Vendor with OPTI Chipset (works fine under 9.1)

Does anyone know if I could get this setup working with OSX? I tried it
several times with some modifications except the grafx card and Harddisk. I
connected the harddisk and Toshiba CD ROM to the internal SCSI Port. I also
tried to install with the Adaptec. I removed the USB Card. Nothing worked.
After installing and configuring (starting) XPF the machine reboots. After
reboot the CD Drive is spinning up but nothing will happen. I have to Zap
PRAM to reboot into 9.1. I could think of two reasons for that malfunction.
First the grafx card and second the non Apple CD Drive. Could someone please
give me some advice.

Cheers

Wolfgang Wolters from Mannheim/Germany
