Very good short and sweet answer!

I'd like to add a suggestion if you'd like to replace the creeking
ancient SCSI drives. I would go with an ATA PCI card and an IDE drive.
The ACARD ATA/66 is available from OWC for $49.00-$55.00 range and you
can get an IDE drive for less then $100.00 much less if you shop
carefully. Yes there are ATA 100 and 133 cards now but they won't run
any faster then the ATA 66 card no matter what drive you use then with
. (Raid drive setups are a different story but not for most people)
Currently sold hard drives will not run any faster then apox half of
the ATA 66 cards speed. These figures on drives seem to mostly be an
over blown marketing tool.(what ever happen to truth in advertising ;-)
Many people including me are very happy with the above suggested setup
in their UMAX machines. Will S
PS just to be fair you could also go with a faster SCSI PCI card and a
faster SCSI hard drive. If buying current new card and drive it will be
a smaller drive like half the size and we are talking 3 -4 times more
money. The choice is yours.
