So it appears I will have to upgrade to a faster (more expensive) ATA/IDE PCI card. That being the case, I wonder if some here might have recommendations on this fine New Year's Eve?
As per my recent posts, my reason for having to upgrade is that the VST Ultratek apparently won't run my new/used Apple Rommed Atapi DVD/RAM Drive properly. So to begin with, I'm considering the ACARD ATA/133, 100 card from OWC. But being a holiday, I have a few days to make a decision. Which cards out there are working best for s900 G3/G4 users here? X is in my future so that is a factor. What is the most compatible card brand with various kinds of drives, like the DVD/RAM drive? Are there any other hiccups for certain cards on our systems, that I need to be aware of? I'd hate to buy something that has some other little-known problem.
