David, I thought I'd jump in here, It sounds like your exhausting yourself with this Did you ever consider putting that DVD-RAM into a Firewire enclosure? I have 2 S900's one SCSI and the other IDE, both have CDR burners in the upper slots, CD-ROM's in lower slot's I've been dabbling with DVD for over a year or so now, first in 9.1 and now in 10.2. Rather then "mess" with my "setup's" I've put my DVD-ROM into a Firewire enclosure and its great. Does this DVD-RAM need to be a bootable device? Also portability may be an advantage here? For well under $100 bucks you could get a Firewire enclosure & card from OWC Links here: <http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=4480&Item=OWCLUCT5X> <http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Item.cfm?ID=5332&Item=ADSAPI800REV1> Best of Luck and Happy New Year, Phillip -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
