Actually, I believe you can physically "un-plug" the '9.2' drive and expect the machine to boot-up on the second drive. Of course this doesn't really solve your problems with the '9.2' drive, does it? How about booting off of a 9.1 CD and scrapping the 9.2 route all together? Personally, I didn't really care for the 9.2 upgrade as it wasn't as stable in my S900 as 9.1 was. I'm running 9.1 off of a 4G SCSI drive and have 10.2 running off of a 30G ATA.
