Good grief ;-) You need some help getting things set up! No wonder you think the card sucks ;-) XLR8 Mach Speed control 2.6.1 is fine for running OS 9.x ( I prefer version 2.5) but the cache control software extensions shouldn't be used in classic with any upgrade as far as I know. The XLR8 software only works for the first few versions of OSX and there was special software for OSX not what your using though I think that worked for the first version of OSX. It quit working long before Jaguar OSX 10.2. As the company was gone before then.IF you are using it with Jaguar you are running with no cache software. The best cache software for the UMAX machines running OSX is a free download from www.powerlogix.com click on Support at the top then downloads on the side .Look for Cache Control X 2.1 if this doesn't work well for you I could send you version 1.2 which I like better. It is a bit of a pain to install as you need to use the terminal but the info on how to do it is well written. While Speculative processing needs to be turned off in OS9.1 it can be turned on in OSX for a bit of a speed boost. The powerlogix software also lets you turn off the motherboard cache which also gives you a noticeable speed boost. I can also run my cache at 275 mhz at 2:1 while in OS 9.x 220mhz at 5:2 is as high as it goes without crashing. I have no idea why you lost your power supplies but I've made every mistake in the book several times and a few not in the books and still have my first power supply. Also did every over clocking trick I could find....at one time or another. With some tweaking you may just find that XLR8 upgrade is better then you thought ! I hope this helps and let the group know if you need more ideas on how to straighten things out. Will S -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
