Hi Robyn, I don't know but I'll find out soon. Just a coincidence but I bought one this morning. The cd/rom should work just fine but I guess to play dvd's it will need the DVD 'wichamacallit' card . They reference the G4's because they are dvd/ready, but our pci macs need that card. 'Decoder' card, that's it! But we figured that the cd/rom should work fine without. And for those who have followed my DVD/RAM saga, I give up. I bought the dvd/32x cd to replace my slow 12x on the internal ide bus. I also went ahead and bought one of the Pyro Firewire Case kits and I'll just put the DVD/RAM drive in that. I will be nice being able to take the drive wherever I need to and be able to copy large files. My order did miss the delivery truck by about two minutes so I probably won't get the drive until Wednesday or so. I'll post here how it installed. What also swayed me is the note in OWC Larry about being able to boot from firewire soon.
