Here's a bit of a puzzle. my old yamaha cd-r (crw 8424s) stopped reading disks. The profiler says it's there. and my Toast program and others see it, but no luck in reading things now. Can'tmount it with any program, though they see the drive.
It made some grindy noise as it was attempting to read a disk, so I can only guess some sort of armature or something has toasted. However, maybe its something else.
