I've had one of these working with my S900. The only drawbacks I found were that only the DVD Speedtools driver would recognise the drive (perhaps it's possible to hack Apple's), multi-session CDs would mount as many icons on the desktop as there were sessions (this a result of the driver I suspect), and the drive itself is quite noisy when reading a disk.
