Yes, IDE is a step back a year or two from SCSI, but it is also about 
3x cheaper than a SCSI device. Look at what 9GB SCSI drives are going 
for, then hop over the Best Try - I mean Buy - and see what a 60GB IDE 
is going for.

While I agree that for consumer and certain applications, Firewire is a
'better' drive connect technology, for multi user, multi threading, multi
everything (eg. servers) you can't beat SCSI.
