Pete, et al... I have VueScan loaded...it can't find my 610S - but the system profiler can. I also downloaded Vistascan 3.75 off the UMAX U.K. website - the DA version can't find the "scanner engine." (?). The MagicScan version has been recommended by several folks, but with a 24K internet connection, I have a hard time with 3-hour downloads (e.g., my ISP disconnects me half the time and I have to start over.) Oh, the downside of living in the sticks (Sierra Mts. of CA).
