It seems maybe this can move forward. If everyone does a small part, we can
make this work. Since this issue has been presented in the past, maybe
somebody here already has an idea of how everything can be structured
overall. If so, please share your thoughts.
I guess maybe the way Pastor Mac has presented a single topic is a good way
to receive acceptance and critique. If he doesn't hear any directly or on
the list, then it works. So if others have an issue they are knowledgeable
about and feel confident about doing a write up, go for it. Clearly there
are several list members who have an encyclopedia of knowledge they can
excerpt and post. For those who don't have web space, I suppose posting it
here on the list works just as well. Pastor Mac's post does raise the
question of whether this should be partially organized into 'machine type'?
Obviously there will be some overlap of different issues to machine models
too. The bugs will get worked out through everyone's input.
Maybe as a number of individual topics get written, somebody can post them
on a temporary page, that way everyone else can begin to visualize some
order and offer recommendations for overall structure. (That way we also
don't put too much of a burden on Kennedy who will be doing final layout).
I guess for those who don't have their own access to web space, but have a
well written topic, it could be posted on the temp page for critique as
well. (Can somebody volunteer to host this temp page('s) for initial
organizing?) The author would just need to coordinate with the host for any
editing purposes. I suppose the original author would be responsible for
most editing as well, and could just email an updated and edited article to
the host for copy & paste. So if others can suggest improvement or addition
to a draft, email the author with suggestions and he can make changes if
needed. Some individuals might also be comfortable or desirable of having
others provide editing service too. It's up to you.
Just a few more ideas into the pot...
Dave
