When it comes to maximizing performace by overclocking (cache in this case), every chip is different. Just because 10 people have been able to run a chip at [say] 100MHz, doesn't mean that yours will, it might only do 75MHz.
Example, My old G3 220MHz upgrade would do 315MHz CPU with 190 MHz backside. My new upgrade G3 300MHz, won't go faster than 302 MHz and the backside only will do 200MHz. Basically, the only way to know what your cache will do is to try it out yourself.
