Hi Kim, It's nice to see you are still here, too. I would go with Alan's advice on shutting the modem off and then turning it back on before you try to reconnect. Once I had a modem that had no on/off switch, and I had to disconnect the power cord momentarily to "clear the deck" before it would unlock. Sometimes, too, if you have just faxed something, that faxing software will maintain a grip on your modem until you on/off reset it even though you have quit the faxing software. I made the jump from Netscape 4.something to version 7 recently without any problems at all. It actually seems faster than the old version. One thing that was temporarily confusing to me was the new interface. It looked so different from the good old Netscape that I was used to. I found an option that let me switch back to the "classic" Netscape look and that made things much more psychologically acceptable and comfortable. I don't think the browser has to do with the modem's stickiness, but other list members may know better than I. I say go for Netscape 7.
