I don't have a clue why you would get this error when launching Eudora.
However I would toss the preference file before trying again. I didn't
know there was a Netscape 4,8 either.

Eudora is a stand alone program works fine with no browser on the
machine! It can be setup so you can click on a web address in email
and they will launch in your browser of choice. The current Eudora
version is one download that runs as a free app with basic features and
what is called sponsored mode which is the full featured Eudora Pro but
with a small ad window. You can pay a fee to remove the ad window but
already have all the features.

I've used Eudora since my first Mac apox... ? 12 years ago. I've tried
pretty much every mail app that has come along and always go back to
it. The "Mail" app in OSX is the first app that may replace Eudora for
me but it is OSX only. Will S
