Hi David, Just took a moment to launch Coaster, and yes there is an option to set the input level without AGC. Automatic track splitting is in the "Automatic Recording" widow which you get by clicking on the "Settings�" button. Just about all PowerMacs--those that shipped with PPC CPUs--use the same sound chips with this feature on the MOBO. There are exceptions, but I can't think of them just now. I don't know all the gory details, but am aware that there is an API provided for in Sound Manager that can set this from within an application that addresses this feature. HTH, paul -- Paul F.
