Heh, um, yeah. Soon as I can get a PC that can complete POST with the
card installed. Last night I disabled the HD in both BIOS and
physically. That was successful in itself, but made no improvment for
what I was seeking.

Oh, I hope that's it for me as well, especially since even though the
screen stays black w/motherboard video I can hear the floppy loading
the OS. Am I right in thinking that would not happen unless POST was
completing successfully? If so, this week I'll borrow a video card to
add to the mix. I can almost smell success now...

And don't you know I've considered offering $$ to some lister who could
do it. But it sure seems like the key to success rests largely in having
a participating PC available to use.

OK, I thought that after the HD-disabling didn't help last night I was
stuck again; you've (and Will too, he earlier mentioned having a 2nd
video card) given me another nugget to go on.

One last question:
If I get lucky and the motherboard video is disabling itself (didn't see
anything about this in BIOS) for sake of the Sapphire, what's to ensure
an additional video card do any better and produce output? In other
words will PCs automatically allow multiple video cards to output
video? Doesn't sound as if, given that motherboard video might
automatically role over and play dead when another suitor comes callin'.
