Difficult to lend any credence to a poster who hides behind an obvious pseudonym. Pentiums are really plebian. They do perform, but they're like the everyman machine. The Mac performs with a class and style never YET seen in Acme Computerville. All banter like this is subjective. My kid's got an Athlon 1,333Ghz. setup I pieced together for him for $115. He's happy. It's fast. But, I live on Macs. Give me the G5 dual-processor. I'd pay the $3000 in a heartbeat, because it AIN'T like every other ho-hum machine out there. I keep saying I'd pay more for the Mac because there's so much more to it. I get Jaguar and Panther. You get XP. I get PC emulation on a Mac. You?! We stick to our Macs from something beyond price. I wouldn't buy a Honda or a Toyota. I'd buy Suzuki Aerio. Audi A6. Volvo Cross-Country....
