Hello

I hope this topic fits in this list, although it deals mainly with my
old SCSI Burner:
an Yamaha 8424S (Firmware 1.0j).

It works fine with CDRs (650M & 700M)
and CDRW (only 650M..)

But it fails to recognize blank 700M CDRW so it cant write to them...;((

quite irritating it is able to read the very same 700MB CDRWs when my
Girlfriend burned them on her G4 400..
We both use Toast 5.14.

Yamahas service seemingly has vanished..
I got no answer to my question if the drive should behave like this
or if it should be possible to handle 700MB CDRW..

Is anybody here who knows about the drives ability to burn 700MB CDRW ?

Thanks & greetings Jochen Busch

Hi, I have a 2100S and it doesn't like Re-writeables, use a Teac at work (early SCSI)
doesn't like Re-writables, I've never been sold on the capability anyway, CD's are cheap.
