Well, here's an interesting twist to my Quicktime issue. Turns out, I can
open the same files if they are stored on a second hard drive. And this is
while running QT from the drive I had problems running from in the first
place.

So I threw away the main drive files, copied the second drive files back to
the first, ran QT to those like normal, and it crashes. Restart, play the
ones from the second drive (from QT running on the first) and it runs fine.
Go figure.

I have run the drive through DW, Norton, Rebuilt Desktop, and Defragged.

Gregg, I'm not certain our symptoms are identical as I cannot even get as
far as opening the file before it crashes in the menu window. However there
may be some similarities in our problem that we should monitor. I guess see
if you can run QT as you normally would but have the files on a second
drive.

Sybill, QT up to 6.0.3 works on OS 9.1 and latest QT 6.3 is for OSX.

Thanks,

Dave
