How many of you have had your SuperMac floppy
drives die? Mine did. Let me know if you have one
for a C500.

Are you sure it's dead or just full of dust? Does it make any noise at all when you put a floppy in? If so it will likely work again if you clean the dust out. I clean mine with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol fixes it right up. Don't even have to take anything apart. All Macs have a problem with sucking air in through the floppy drive. The C500 is especially bad about this. So is often full of dust which keeps it from reading the floppy at some point. If it is dead list sponsor smalldog.com still has UMAX floppy drive replacements for $5.00! They are listed under garage sale. You can also use any Mac manual floppy drive for a replacement.
