Hi Tom, Just so I have this straight, (please see earlier comments on most computer problems blowing up in my face), I see all the preferences you speak of, except I don't see the Explorer Folder in Preferences<System Folder<HD. If I understand you correctly, I should just trash all of these from Preferences, and restart the computer.
When I did a get info on the HD, I got, Available 415.8 MB. Is this what you mean? If I disable VM, can I keep it off all the time? How much does a router go for these days? I'm from Canada, so it will probably cost me more. Thanks for your help and patience with my obvious questions, which aren't so obvious to me.
