Yes, tried this and am quite certain the chip is seated properly. I've even tried it without the 8 meg chip to see if there was some conflict between them, yet the problem persists.

Thanks,

Tony

Switch Ram slots and make sure the chip is securely seated?

I bought a 64 mb chip from OWC and installed it in my C500. The
computer booted just fine, but after a few minutes it locked up. I
attempted to reboot the machine but it would not because of a bus
error. Attempting to boot with extensions off did not resolve the
issue - only removing the chip did. I have OS 9 and OS 8.6 installed
on the computer and the problem occurs with both systems. The only
modifications to the machine is that it has pulled Apple HD (4 gb IDE)
and CD-ROM (SCSI), both with Apple ROMs. I also have an 8 meg stick in
the other RAM slot. Any suggestions?
