Dave, you realize this is yet another great example of the benefits of backing up? I remember the ugly feeling of knowing I'd lost an entire drive containing years of files. I realize that backing up a large HD is difficult, but backing up critical files is a must. Lord knows many of us have learned that the hard way. I sincerely hope you can recover your data.
