Just got a bit of a deal on a new Radeon 7000 PC version (32 MB DDR PCI) for installation in my beloved J700 with
- XLR8 Carrier Card with G4 450 o/c'd to about 480
- TurboMac IDE card
- Belkin USB card
- stock twinturbo video card (slowly) driving a 19" CRT at 1280 x 1024
- 280 MB RAM
- OS 9.2.2
The only reference I have for flash-upgrading this card to a Mac version is as follows:
<http://aex.org/mac/7000.html>
I will be doing the flash on an old windows box (Win 98) salvaged from a school dumpster.
Any caveats, advice, warnings and supplemental websites are welcome. I also need advice on which slot is best to install it in, especially if I decide to keep both video cards installed.
Also, what kind of speed boost can I expect from this card? (Just business apps, no games)
Cheers,
Brent

I have a brand-new G5 1.6 (an insurance replacement) sitting here on the floor virtually unused but I'm more excited about installing this Radeon in my creaking J700 . . .
