Hello All. After upgrading my S900 from a Newer Tech G3 275 to a XLR8
MAChCarrier G4 450, I could not use X anymore. I tried to reinstall but no
luck yet. Has anyone had issues or solutions to get X to work or reinstall
with the XLR8 G4 upgrade? So far, it's been stable under 9.1.

I am using the XLR8 400 Mhz G3 and had no problems with the install on
my S900. Suggest you use XPostfacto 3.0.a4 to install with. In the
options panel set the throttle to 8 that might help. I had my 10X G3
clocked up to 500 Mhz and I just lowered it to 450 until I finished the
install. I left the throttle at 0. Make sure your drive was formatted
with the OS 9.1 drive setup, as FWB and even HDST don't work to well on
a unsupported machine.

Be sure to set the input to Keyboard and output to video card in the
options panel as well as use verbose not single user. Before you click
install make sure it is set to install from CD and that restart from
your OS X volume.

Good luck
