Rob,

Just curious, have you tried to reflashing the firmware on your respective
drives?  There may be a Mac version for the Yamaha to get it to burn again
and may become bootable as well.  I have learned that often in these cd type
drives, the firmware does get corrupted from the various 'rides' they take
in different computers so it may just take a reflash to get them right
again.
