My problem was loosing the use of the CD ROM when I went to 8.6. I
don't know if it does anything to help with boot disks. I do know that I'm
using it currently, and I can boot from utilities disks using the "vulcan
death grip" and switching quickly to the c key when the question mark
flashes.
Wish there was some way I could help. I've sure gotten a lot of help
from your posts on the list.
