(You probably have a Matshita drive that originally came with the machine.) Hopefully you can find the extension in your old System folder ? Or maybe it's still in the current Extensions folder in which case you need to activate it AND turn off the Apple extension. When they are both present, the Apple extension will cause a conflict.
