What are the symptoms of a USB/1394 card not working in the lower slots? Right now I have a USB/1394 combo card in the bottom slot of my S900 and the USB works, but I have no way of testing to see if Firewire does as well.
For those of you that are interested, the card is manufactured by Syba and is sold as a "PCI Multimedia Combo Card". It uses an ALi chipset for the USB2.0 and a NEC chipset for 1394, though it has no PCI-PCI bridge like any of the other combo cards I've looked at. I found mine on eBay.
