Are there any caveats in running only ATA drives in legacy macs and
clones ?

The original Western Digital 4.6 gb 7200 RPM SCSI drive still occupies
address 0 in the s900.
However, it is hardly ever used.
The first 2 gb partition on a Seagate UW drive has been my startup
volume for several years.
The Initio Miles UW card is in slot 1 but I can't remember what the SCSI
address is for the drive.
I never had to mess with the address pin settings, nor did I have to
deal with termination.
Same thing with the ATA card and drive that were installed - plug and
play.

The question is....

Is the "Address 0" necessary if I eliminate SCSI drives ?
There would be only ATA drives for internal storage.
I am looking to use only ATA in a 7500 as well as maybe a second s900.

Thanks,

Alan
