Two other thoughts: Did you remember to bless your System on the new drive? Ie; dragging the System File to the desktop and back.
You might have done this but when booted from the other drive, select the WD as your Startup Disk and reboot. Of course doing this 'after' blessing the system on the new drive might make a difference.
