Hi there: I spent some time yesterday installing some new software (both new versions and new items). Now, ever since all those installations, there have been some very flaky things going on. I cannot unzip anything. Could something have gotten overwritten in installing something? I can't load the new Quicktime because it's zipped, I almost couldn't load a replacement Stuffit Expander because it comes zipped. (I eventually used their .hqx download and that worked OK.) But when I drag the Quicktime .sit to the expander alias, I get this message:
The application StuffitExpander could not be opened because "InterfaceLib--GetComponentResource" could not be found. I've also just discovered that a bunch of fonts I had before in Word 6.0.1 (and that still exist on the HD) are no longer listed in the font list in Word 2001. For all I know there's other weirdness elsewhere that I just haven't come across yet. What's up? Does this relate to an aborted attempt to install 9.1 over 8.6 (I'm using a clone, Supermac C500) rather than going to 9.0 and then to 9.1 which I believe is what the Supermacs have to do?
