True, but my guess is you'll use a bunch more
electricty over time if you leave it on 24/7, even
without a monitor. If the real issue is the printer,
if it supports AppleTalk you can use an old Dayna
EtherPrint (20-30 bucks on eBay last I checked ...
less at a recycler)and hook it up to the ethernet
port. It works great and needs no software to run. It
doesn't auto-negotiate with ethernet faster than
10BaseT though, so a 10BT hub is required if the B&W's
ethernet is too fast.

I use one of these with our home network. When the
"kids" are home, we have several computers on the
network and they all have access to the printer.
